LIVE ZOOM PAINT PARTIES!

I have taught LIVE watercolor classes locally for corporate events, fundraisers, private home parties, Hobby lobby, Joanne Fabrics, and Adult Education.

Last night I did my very first ZOOM virtual paint night as a test and I have to say, I've missed the live interaction with all of my students. This was so much FUN!!

I'm now thinking that during the Winter I'll be doing some private paint parties. I'll be posting more information about the LIVE events on my Instagram page.

I'll have to try it a few times more I'm sure to really get the hang of it. Not sure why it's taking me so long to give this a go. These ladies really enjoyed it, and it gave us all the one on one connection even though we are miles and miles apart.

Also wanted to share that my new BEE CREATIVE ALCOHOL INK Course is up and running now on my website and I hope to add it here to Udemy next month. Here's a peek at it.

This will be one of my longest courses so far with over 20 lectures and 2 hours of video content. You know that my courses don't have a lot of FLUFF, because I edit out most of that "WAIT TIME" for you.

There is a FREE tutorial on my youtube channel from the class, so you can try out this little coneflower using some alcohol ink techniques like stippling and lifting.

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions!

Have a creative day,

OXOX

Alcohol Ink on Yupo Demo - Experiment Glass Glitter

Demo piece available: Alcohol Ink on Yupo with Gold Glass Glitter
Mat Size: 11x14"

Had a great class last night at the Gardiner Adult Education Center.

We play and experimented with Alcohol Inks and color. I am loving all the freedom this medium
offers my students. No boxes here!

Once we practiced on a few scrapes of Yupo and Mineral Paper they began their larger 9x12" project.
We started with two colors and went from there.

A few students chose to add some glue with a Deco Foil Pen and then added some Glass Glitter on top.

New Alcohol Ink "AIR" Online Course is in the works still - it's getting close to complete!
Make sure to sign up HERE to receive the coupon once it goes LIVE.

Drop off day at L/A Art Walk - Lewiston Auburn Maine

Getting excited - 6 of my Oils are going to be part of the L/A Art Walk on May 29th 5-8pm!
These are getting all packed up and ready to hit the road for drop of today.

On another note, just got a note back from the Adult education center here in Auburn and they would like for me to instruct some Alcohol Ink classes. I'll be adding them to the Events section once I have confirmation of the dates and times.

Personal Goals 2015

Looking back on 2014, it was an amazing year! I pulled together a little video of just a few of my favorite pieces that sold this past year. I am excited to share it was my best year for sales, marketing and growth as an artist.

I really pushed myself to step out of my comfort zone and managed to get into local shops and venues with my original work as well as learning photoshop which allowed me to add prints and cards. I found myself working in some new mediums and learned to experiment without fear of making a mistake.

One of my favorite things about 2014 was teaching classes in new venues such as Adult Education, Joanns, Craftmaina, and the Seadog! Sharing what I do and seeing others learn and grow is very special to me. I think the arts are a very important part of our lives and as we grow up from childhood a lot of folks loose that experience. We all live in a very busy world full of "have too's". I think more of us should take a little time for ourselves and get creative. You would be a better person for it! I don't know how many times I've had people tell me that during my classes for those 2 hours, they  thought about nothing but the painting! They relaxed and enjoyed some "ME" time.  It's good for the soul!

I'm tossing it out there for all to see.....My goals for 2015 - A smart man told me that I should write them down (thanks honey) - so here it goes! I'll shoot for 10!

1. As a self taught artist I've been talking about taking some art classes. I would love to travel and take a class from an artist that I admire!

2. Continue to get healthier and make sure to take care of myself.

3. Focus on organizing my art in our small family space.

4. Take time to read at least a book a month.

5. Continue to follow a budget and use more coupons.

6. Develop more relationships with small businesses and add at least 3 more venues this year for my art.

7. Would like to complete at least 4 videos, either demo's or "how to video's".

8. Go plein air painting at least 5 times.

9. Continue focus on doing more larger scaled paintings.

10. Work with my husband Larry and get a website up and running were I can organize my works
and have a "go to place" for everything including classes and available art.

Happy Painting~ Kellie
