LIVE ZOOM PAINT PARTIES!

I have taught LIVE watercolor classes locally for corporate events, fundraisers, private home parties, Hobby lobby, Joanne Fabrics, and Adult Education.

Last night I did my very first ZOOM virtual paint night as a test and I have to say, I've missed the live interaction with all of my students. This was so much FUN!!

I'm now thinking that during the Winter I'll be doing some private paint parties. I'll be posting more information about the LIVE events on my Instagram page.

I'll have to try it a few times more I'm sure to really get the hang of it. Not sure why it's taking me so long to give this a go. These ladies really enjoyed it, and it gave us all the one on one connection even though we are miles and miles apart.

Also wanted to share that my new BEE CREATIVE ALCOHOL INK Course is up and running now on my website and I hope to add it here to Udemy next month. Here's a peek at it.

This will be one of my longest courses so far with over 20 lectures and 2 hours of video content. You know that my courses don't have a lot of FLUFF, because I edit out most of that "WAIT TIME" for you.

There is a FREE tutorial on my youtube channel from the class, so you can try out this little coneflower using some alcohol ink techniques like stippling and lifting.

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions!

Have a creative day,

OXOX

Thirty Paintings in 30 Days - Day Twenty Three - New Kids Scene

New - Kids Painting Scene - Ages 5 and up.

Kids workshop - 16x20 Canvas using Acrylic paints! $35 per child for groups of 10+ All supplies are included! Click Here for more information.

Received a call from our local Rec Center about holding some classes for Kids ages 5 up during our school vacation week. They had a great idea of what they wanted to have for a painting scene, and gave me a few ideas. So today, I dumped the oil, ink, and watercolor and went with Acrylic!

Keeping the painting somewhat simple, the primary colors were chosen. We'll be mixing our colors to make the orange and greens, I think the kids will enjoy that.

We hope to accomplish "My Bubbles" in under an hour.

Thirty Paintings in 30 Days - Day Twenty One

 "Summer Moonlight"

Still working on a creating a few new painting scenes for the Watercolor Paint Nights, and since folks on facebook seemed to really like the Ominous Moon that was created last fall, it seemed like a good one to try!

For more information about when and where classes will be held you can view it under the events section of the main blog page.

Playing with Acrylics today!

It's been years since acrylics have made an appearance on my easel.  My husband bought me an incredible Winsor Newton Artists Acrylic Bamboo Box Set, just because he loves me! It's been driving me crazy not to use them, so today I pulled the kit out!

Acrylics are a lot different than painting with watercolors and it's taking me a little bit to get the hang of it again, but having so much fun and making a big mess to boot!

Can't go wrong with a coastal Maine scene right?!

On another note.....Some of you may be aware of my business called PartyPainter. My mother and I created and developed back in 2007. We love our jobs and feel incredible to be able to share and create with others, it is just so rewarding.

Anyways, A client friend sent me a note on facebook that made my day and I wanted to share it with you all. She said: "What you do is bring out the creative side of people, a side that some never knew they had and that, my friend..... is a great talent." How sweet is that, music to my ears!

Thanks and hope you all enjoy the day!
~Happy Painting,

Maine Lupines - New PartyPainter Hostess Scene

I just posted these three Maine Lupine watercolor paintings as new scene choices for my business called PartyPainter!

Although I 'm an artist it still amazes me how much the differences in color really make! I was thinking these flowers would be beautiful all hanging framed above my bed.

Don't forget to check out our other scene choices on the PartyPainter Facebook Fan Page - we would love more fans!

My Maine Chickadee "Snowy"

This snowy little fella was fun to paint. I've been playing with adding a chickadee to our PartyPainter hostess scene collection, but finding this little bird to be a more lengthy painting than our usual scenes. The cardinal one we currently offer can be done by anyone in less than 2 hours.

I'll keep trying and post some more attempts.

Would love you to send me photographs or idea's you think would make a great picture to paint!
