This weeks Alcohol Ink demo is what I like to call my moody birch tree on a tile.
This Alcohol Ink Art Birch Tree Painting on Tile Tutorial is super Fast and Easy, seriously a 5 minute Alcohol ink painting using jacquard pinata inks on tiles.
I will go over a quick wet in wet background then we'll add some dancing silver mixative to create a sparkling Moon and reflection on the water.

I believe EVERYONE should try Alcohol Inks at least once in there lives, so I really enjoy sharing as much FREE content as I can for you! I created the Peacock painting above in early 2014, and it's still one of my personal favorites from my alcohol ink collection. The original sold right away, but I did remember to make prints of it before I shipped it out. I'm honored to say it's one of my top selling prints and top Pinned posts from my Pinterest page, along with Mr. Blue Lobster .
So today I thought I would show you how I created a little piece of the background (little feather circles). The original painting is more organic looking and I love the randomness of the circles, but I'll show you how to control them a bit more in the video ----> Link Below
First I started with a wet background using Cloudy Blue and added the Lake Mist with a small detail brush. I created some feathery lines for the first layer then let that dry.
Then added a drop of Citrus and tilted my paper to spread out the inks, then added a drop of eggplant, and finally a drop of Pool Blue.

Ranger Alcohol Ink - Colors used in Demo: Aqua, Cloudy Blue, Stream, Twilight Purple, Sunshine Yellow (If you don’t have these exact colors choose something similar or choose your own combo).
Alcohol Ink Blending Solution
Yupo Paper: White 74lbs or higher - size in demo is (5x7") - Again feel free to go bigger. Just note that your materials may need to adjusted.
Backer Board or something to tape down the paper on.
Mat (optional) (You can also purchase the Full kits with Backer/Mat/Clear Sleeve
Blue painters tape or masking tape
White Gel Pen (I use Signo made by Uni Ball) Sometimes your colors will tint the white. Best to wait until the ink is fully dry. (See demo video Here).
Mixing Tray, paper plate, or tile to mix colors on
2 Small Containers for Alcohol (one clean, one dirty)
Paper Towels
Gloves
Apron
Sealing
I use the following products to seal my Yupo if I do not use UV glass. Please note depending on your color choices, some colors may fade more than others. I can say that I personally have 3 painting still hanging (3+ years behind UV glass and they have not faded) I do have them hung out of direct sunlight.
