"A IS FOR APPLE" Ricker Hill Orchard 30 in 30 Day 29

We went out on a road trip this morning to take some pictures of the fall leaves but ended up at Ricker Hill Orchards! So happy we did...because while I was out taking pictures of the goats and pumpkins Larry was inside the bake shop picking up fresh apple doughnuts and a pumpkin chocolate chip whoopie pie! And OH MY GOD - was it GOOD!

After we got home it was time for the football game - so at 4pm I threw in my laundry (first wash of the week - YIKES) and started looking through my pictures.

Have some amazing shots, but figured they are really too difficult in my short amount of paint time today (the Patriots are on at 8:30) so I simplified down to just one apple. It' rather amazing how simple an apple looks to paint isn't it?....but they are NOT!

"Looking For The Sunshine" 30 in 30 Day 26

A sweet little sunflower in a mason jar leaning as far as it can to capture the suns rays.  Sunflowers and Autumn just go together don't you think?

I'm a happy person by nature and always try to look for the sunshine in life. Flowers always make me smile - so dainty yet strong.

Day 18 Daily Painting Challenge "LITTLE CUPCAKE"

"Little Cupcake"

5x7 Watercolor/Gouache

Day 18/30 of our Painting Challenge.

Daily Painting.  #18 "Little Cupcake" Talk about a tasty food - cupcakes are one of my favorites! Mini little cakes are a piece of heaven aren't they? I mean, who doesn't like a cupcake? For my dear friends Birthday this year I made these delicious Banana Split Cupcakes, with butter cream frosting and topped with lots of goodies.  Lucky for me I snapped a picture for her to post on facebook before we ate them all. Seems like a theme here....I am always eating my painting objects, hmmm.

What a cute little painting this would make for Valentines Day!

VITAMIN "C" FIX - Daily Painting #17

"VITAMIN "C" FIX"

5x7 Watercolor/Gouache

Day 17/30 of our Painting Challenge.

After spending so much time on the Blue Lobster this week I'm having a hard time squeezing in my daily painting. I didn't have to go far this morning for my inspiration though...it was sitting on my kitchen table. I thought this would be a great warm up for the day along with my Daily vitamin C fix!

I have painted a lot of fruit, but found this orange to be some what of a challenge for me.  To get the texture or denting in the peel was a hard feat to achieve and I am not quite sure that I completely grasped it. I have been staring at it for a while now and going to let it goes as is. I am happy with the shading and depth. Looks good enough to eat, and by the way....I did, again (Apple memories)!

Green Apple - Back to Basic's after Sugar coma! SOLD

"An Apple A Day"

5" x 7" Watercolor
140lb Cold Press
Winsor Newton and Gouache paints

SOLD

It's the day after Halloween and with the big old candy buzz everyone around here has I could only
think of painting an apple. Now it could be the sugar coma affecting my brain, but I'm going to say, nope it's just a lazy thinking day. Back to basic's sometimes is the best thing for my lack of creativity.

Looks good enough to eat!

THE WHOLE BUNCH - Bananas - SOLD

" THE WHOLE BUNCH"

STILL LIFE
SOLD

Yup, another fruit painting for me! It's really hard to keep them around long enough to paint a watercolor from. I really need to start taking pictures, the darn things ripened overnight and the colors are changing as fast as a sunset on me.

We use bananas for my sons morning breakfast smoothies and my husband and I eat them now daily because we have started running.... yet again! They really help my legs stop cramping!

KELLIE LYNN ART

"STRAWBERRIES"

5x7 Original Watercolor by Maine Artist, Kellie Chasse

I was sitting at my desk listening to Pandora "THE BEATLES" station -
Strawberry fields forever started playing and my inspiration for this painting came about.
Our family heads out every year to pick mouth watering Maine strawberries - so I had plenty of pictures to go by.
Hope you enjoy!

"A PAINTING A DAY FOR 30 DAYS" - Day 3

"ANTIQUE MARBLES"

-This is a Quick Study Painting-

Obviously doing a painting a day - the subject most of the time is a quick study - meaning I paint it fast without a lot of details. The daily paintings are fun and fast - hope you like them.

Our family has a fun hobby - we love Estate Sales and Auctions.
The first thing my 10 year old son does when we enter one is to quickly scan the tables for antique marbles.
He taps my shoulder to make sure I'm aware of them.

When the lot comes up for auction....I hear the famous words...BID MOM BID!!!

I pulled a few out today for Day 3!
