Hi Everyone, it's Tuesday so that means I have another #tuesdayvideo over on my youtube channel.
This one is an easy demo and my dog Primm gets to make her cameo appearance!
Check out this easy tile project with Alcohol ink, you can wipe it off and start over on again on tiles so I find them a great way to practice dry time with Alcohol Inks. We'll create some little leaves and dots using Ranger Alcohol Ink along with the Blending Solution. Blending solution will help the inks stay wet longer.
This is a Wet in Wet Quick and fun practice tutorial and technique on how to create with Alcohol Ink.
Excited to share that our second Alcohol Ink Spring Conference is coming soon! Society Members can sign up for the early bird special of only $20 now through April 16th!! Find out all the details here!!
Learn to how to Create a super Cool abstract painting using FX casting Resin by Counter Top Epoxy with Kellie Chasse!
Big thanks to Counter Top Epoxy for sending me all these goodies including all of these yummy metallic powder colors! Since I have never used this brand I was really excited to try it out and see how it works compared to other resins I've used in some Alcohol Ink projects.
So this TUESDAYS VIDEO you can watch my entire creation process of this painting on glass. I started out by taping up the edges of the glass with blue painters tape. If you try this make sure to tape the underneath of the painting so that the drips will not attach to the underside. This pour was going to be a bit thicker, (1/8" on top of the glass). According to them you can actually go up to 1" pour with this brand. That was very impressive, since other brands recommend up to a 1/8". I think next time I'll try using the Aluminum tape and build up the wall higher on some plexiglass...stay tuned for that one!
Once the sides got taped, I mixed my resin per instructions. Then the fun began! It was great trying almost every material I could. I wanted to see how they each reacted with the resin. I have to say that I was very impressed with FX Casting Resin. The only downfall was having to mix it for another 4 minutes in another container. Other than that it's super hard, shiny, and gorgeous!

Last day of the 30 Day Painting Challenge, and I've had so much fun!
To finish it off I painted a rooster. It symbolizes protection, courage
and also is associated with kindness as it cares for the chickens.
Maintaining balance in all areas of your life is so important...we have
lots of emotions that hit us everyday. The jellyfish symbolizes being
sensitive and understanding the value of floating along or going with
your emotions rather than being too stiff with what life
sends your way and having faith to move along.
The jellyfish has only the current to rely on to carry it along and must have the movement of the ocean to survive. We all need movement and change, this one really symbolized my new work with inks.
