2019 Alcohol Ink Fall Conference Details
Sometimes you just go with the flow....My Fall Wreath looks more like spring...does that mean I get to skip winter this year!
This Floral Wreath is my presentation for this years 2019 Alcohol Ink Fall conference in late October. Right now there is an Early Bird special running for New Members!
We will do a few practice sessions to create some fun and interesting shaped flowers and leaves.
Plus we'll be trying out some layers using a water-based Bombay ink along with Ranger Alcohol inks. You can get some really fun and interesting glazes using this method.
We also added some fun vines using Micro pens and gel pens on top of the inks for fillers.
I've been a founder and contributor with these lovely group of women over the years and these conferences are so much fun and full of amazing presentations.
I can't wait and hope you can join us!

"Getting Ready" Fall before Winter 30 in 30 Day 30
It's here...the last day of the painting challenge (clapping) Phew!
We headed out this weekend to take some pictures of the changing season, but it hasn't quite hit where we are yet. A few trees here and there, but I know it's coming fast and I'm getting ready to hunker down for the cold winter months. It's always a great time to paint!
This Maine painting is so crisp looking and although the colors are warm fall colors I think you can feel the coolness in the air. Hope you enjoyed my daily paintings and continue to see what I come up with next week, because I promise to put out a painting a week for the rest of the year!
See a painting you like and the original has been sold, please let me know and I'll be happy to add it as a print!

"Traveling" Maine Leaves Fall in Autumn Brook 30 in 30 Day 25
"Traveling"
$100 Framed
I'm ahead - Day 25 "Traveling" - I found these
little leaves floating in the Brook behind our home. They had just
fallen from the tree above and I captured the moment before they floated
away. I love the movement in this one....

"Dancing Leaves" Fall Watercolor Painting 30 in 30 Day 24
"DANCING LEAVES"
Framed 8x10
Had fun with a little more abstract style today.
I think it's a good thing the 30 day challenge is winding down, I'm running out of steam!
Just got back from a brisk walk outside with little puppy, Primm and thought she was going to blow away. The wind is whipping those little leaves all over the place out there. Looks like Fall is officially here as of 4:44 yesterday.
This is a colorful little 5x7 fall watercolor painting.
On another note: I'm excited to have an artist wine and cheese reception this Friday night from 4-5pm at the Highlands in Topsham and then the Arts 10x10 event from 5-8 the same evening!

"Hanging Out" 30 in 30 Day 16
Missing my birds at my new house, although we put up a bird feeder, my guess is that it's too low for the birds to feel comfortable feeding at, so I haven't had any (sad face). Note to self....must put a tall post on my list for this weeks buys.
Started this painting a while ago but wasn't happy with it, so it got tossed to the side. Decided to pull it back out and work on the background some more (it was very dull). I punched up the color a bit with some fall leaves, there...much better.
"HANGING OUT"
Think I have the Monday blahs, maybe it's because it's raining outside again....guess I'll have to put on my big girl pants and get painting, maybe I can get a few done ahead of time for this week. Finding the painting is the easy part of this challenge...it's the picture taking, blogging, posting on facebook, twitter, etsy, society6, ebay, ...all the heavy work! :)
My first cup of java is complete after finishing the blog post....so Monday blahs are already lifting! Make it a great day!

"Autumn Lake" Day 4 (30 Paintings in 30 Days)
"AUTUMN LAKE"
Happy Anniversary to my hubby - it's been 15 years today for us!
To celebrate we are off to the camp to close up today! It's so sad to have the season come to an end, but this summer has been so busy for us with the move and all...we haven't had much time there :(
We will enjoy our last hoo-rah and in honor of it... today's painting is an ode to Fall.
I see the leave on one of our backyard trees has started to turn already.
Fall is my favorite time of year though, so I"m looking forward to it.
The smell of fresh crisp Maine air, leaf peeping, apples and pumpkins.
Available in Prints HERE.
